Carol Chapin West
March 26, 1928 - September 23, 2011
Savannah, GA- Carol Chapin West, 83, died Friday, September 23, 2011 at Riverview Health and Rehabilitation Center.
Carol was born in St. Louis, MO to John A. and Elva Ruth Chapin. She was a life long homemaker and enjoyed reading and needlepoint. Her greatest joy was caring for her family who will all miss her deeply. She was a former member of St. Luke's Episcopal Church in Montclair, NJ.
Survivors include her sister, Roberta Wamsley and her husband, Arthur of Deering, NH; her children and their families, Ann West of Norman, OK, Matthew West of Bloomfield, NJ, Ruth Gorrin Neal, Margot, Dylan of Emerald Hills, CA, Colin West Hartley, Munroe, Carter, Sarah Batt Chris, Colin, Holly, Carolyn; niece and nephew, Elizabeth & John Walmsley.
A Memorial Service will be held at a later date.
It is sad to think of Carol's sweet presence being absent from this world, but I know her influence lives on in you children. There are many memories of the old days on South Mountain Avenue,, and much joy in reading of Carol's grandchildren.If any of you are in the Montclair Varona area, I hope you will drop in on me.
